Assistant Coach of Football / Defense
Coe College seeks qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Coach (Defense). This role supports the college’s academic program by implementing the policies, programs, and services approved by the Head Coach for Football, contributing to the education and welfare of students through athletics. The Assistant Coach will operate within the spirit, policies, and rules of Coe College, the American Rivers Conference, and NCAA Division III, furthering the fitness, wellness, and personal, social, and academic development of Coe students.
Work Schedule:
10 months yearly, full-time with benefits eligibility.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Assist in planning and supervising practices and games.
Vigorously recruit students.
Promote the sport, athletics department, and Coe College.
Additional responsibilities assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required.
1–3 years of previous coaching experience (defense) is preferred.
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; the College is not able to sponsor employment visas.
Successful completion of a background and driver check in accordance with Coe College policy.

Ability to work harmoniously with the Head Football coach, coaches of other athletic teams, athletic staff members, faculty members, and college administrators.
