Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
Location: Edgewater (Laughlin, NV)
Summary Responsible for direct supervision of all front‑of‑house (QSR, casual, fine dining) team members and indirect supervision of back‑of‑house staff. Manages day‑to‑day operations, ensuring efficient and smooth outlet performance. Assists the Food and Beverage Manager with training, discipline, quality control, labor hours and performance evaluation. Contributes to a high‑energy environment, increasing team morale. Supports other departments as needed (e.g., Beverage, Banquets). Maintains high standards and the Company’s Guest Service culture.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Assist in the hiring, training, evaluation, development, and disciplining of departmental employees.
Act as liaison between line staff and departmental leadership to ensure leadership is aware of challenges with job performance, staffing levels, and job tasks.
Address guest concerns by providing service recovery.
Monitor team member compliance with all Department policies and procedures daily.
Accurately report incidents to the Food and Beverage Manager and report injuries to Security immediately.
Maintain par levels for all inventory, supplies, and equipment; use Company ordering systems to place outlet orders regularly.
Ensure inventory is properly stored, rotated, and complete monthly inventory requirements.
Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with interviewing, hiring, training, and developing all team members while monitoring performance efficiencies.
Monitor and assist host(s) in greeting and escorting guests to their tables, ensuring optimal guest service.
Access all functions of the POS system; cashier in outlets as needed to assist with short‑staffed needs.
Accurately void, refund, and compensate checks according to Department policies and accounting requirements.
Implement and expedite manual procedures for system‑down POS issues, ensuring accuracy from all staff cash drawers.
For all food outlets, run system‑closing reports and ensure all servers’ checks are closed before they sign out.
Ensure all food outlets and workstations are clean, organized, and that equipment is cleaned, maintained, and in proper function.
Maintain responsibility for all food outlet health standards and regulations, including daily Department health inspections, charts, and documentation.
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations as applicable to the position.
Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to guests and team members, meeting the company’s guest service culture standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Three years of experience as an Assistant F&B Manager/Supervisor, preferably in all aspects of various dining atmospheres.
Computer basic mathematical calculations.
Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
ServSafe preferred.
High school diploma; some college preferred.
Minimum 21 years of age.
Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal.
Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
Verify right to work in the United States.
