The Tower Group has been operating dedicated wheelchair accessible vehicles since May 2019. We work to provide the best possible service to the passengers of the WAV program. Safety and training play a huge role in the provision of safe, efficient, and on‑time quality service.
Compensation and Schedule
Earn money from day one. We provide the vehicle, gas, maintenance, insurance, and mobile phone at no cost to you.
Starting at
$18.25 per hour
+
100% of tips
Full‑time (Monday‑Friday). Evening shifts available; all shifts include weekend work.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide transportation to wheelchair users.
Safely drive and operate the vehicle.
Follow traffic laws and regulations.
Be extremely customer‑service oriented.
Use a mobile device for routing information to pick passengers up and drive to destinations.
Regularly assist wheelchair users, some of whom may weigh up to or exceed 400 pounds, including manually operated wheelchairs.

Basic Requirements
Authorized to work in the U.S.
At least 23 years old (for insurance purposes).
Valid U.S. driver’s license issued in DC, VA, or MD with a minimum of 2 years of U.S. driving history.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Successfully pass a pre‑employment background and drug test.
Experience driving for UBER, LYFT, ride‑share, or para‑transit is a plus.
