Nathan Ph.D. and Associates are seeking a warm, detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to support our clinical operations and provide an exceptional first impression to our patients and their families.
Position Overview As the first point of contact, the Front Desk Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and creating a welcoming, professional environment. This position supports both patients and staff by managing front office responsibilities with empathy, accuracy, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
Answer incoming calls and manage appointment scheduling
Collect and process patient copays and outstanding balances
Verify insurance information and assist with billing-related tasks
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR), including scanning and chart management
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
Provide general administrative support to both front and back office teams
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of front office experience (psychology or medical setting preferred)
Working knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and privacy standards
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general computer literacy
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
Position Details
Job Type: Full-Time
Work Environment: In-person position in Houston, Texas
Compensation: $15–$16/hour, based on experience
