Job Overview Responsible for the operational state and efficiently running the mixing and batching systems in the processing area in a safe and sanitary manner following all GMP’s. This includes but is not limited to recipe selection and target quantity for the batch, sampling, and final batch calculations.

Shift Hours 12‑Hour Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The schedule follows a rotating 2‑2‑3 pattern: two days on, two days off, three days on, followed by two days off, two days on, and three days off. Team members work every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

Follow all safety, working, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) rules.

Report to and follow the direction of Processing Supervisors.

Accurately operate Human‑Machine Interface (HMI) and product recipe selecting.

Adequately adjust batches as oriented by supervisors or quality based on test results.

Properly sample and provide quality lab batching and filtration test results and final batch calculations.

Clean process equipment such as tanks and lines, including hand cleaning, Clean‑In‑Place (CIP) and Clean‑Out‑Of‑Place (COP) operations on a daily basis.

Take proper samples to monitor CIP system for chemical concentration.

Monitor and maintain process controls.

Document accurate recordings of process and wash parameters as well as batch sheets.

Follow escalation protocol based on production and quality triggers.

Aid in the training of new personnel or upskilling of team members.

Effectively follow proper standard operating procedures (SOP).

Complete every shift Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), Centerline (CL), and Clean, Inspect, Lubricate (CIL) tasks on a timely manner and accurately.

Communicate with upstream and downstream processing on any anticipated schedule delays and/or changes.

Qualifications

Must work in a safe, efficient manner and follow all safety procedures including the use of safety equipment.

Must have the ability to troubleshoot small problems and determine when higher levels of authority are required.

Must be willing to ask for assistance when the process is unclear.

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.

High school level verbal and written communication skills.

Basic computational skills; simple math reasoning required.

Must be able to operate the equipment effectively after the appropriate break‑in period.

Proficiency in English: comfortable with both written and verbal communication, including reading and writing.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements The operator stands throughout their shift, walks on uneven concrete and tile surfaces, and may lift up to 60 pounds occasionally. Two or more employees complete lifts greater than 100 pounds. The role involves pushing/pulling, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling under equipment, pushing/pulling pipe‑fittings, and occasional climbing of approved stairs or ladders. The environment may experience ambient temperatures up to 110 °F due to equipment operation and cleaning. The work includes frequent use of hands and fingers for servicing pumps, using brushes, and connecting pipe‑fittings.

Food Safety Requirements

Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that may affect product quality or food safety.

Understand, observe, and comply with the handling and usage of the color‑coded container policy while in the Production Areas.

Perform all duties necessary to meet company, customer, and/or government requirements/standards as prioritized by the company.

Initiate action to prevent nonconformities relating to food safety and quality.

Identify and record any problems relating to food safety and the quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.

Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency is corrected.

Assume duties and responsibilities when an employee with the same skill level is absent.

Compensation & Benefits Base pay range: $28—$29 USD per hour. Full range of medical, financial, and other benefits dependent on position.
