Job Responsibilities

Inspect and verify that the quality of detail/reconditioning work performed is in accordance with customer specifications and contract standards. Examine visually and by touch if necessary, tracking all vehicles entering and exiting the lanes using detail sheets.

Check wash bay steps by inspecting trunk jambs, looking for grease on hinges, bugs, fender wells and lower splash shields.

Check interior cleaning steps by inspecting ashtrays, dashboards, panels, vinyl, windows, carpets, and upholstery, ensuring debris is removed.

Check buffing steps by verifying that dressing was properly applied to the engine and tires and that the vehicle was waxed, buffed, and polished to appropriate standards.

Check final touch-up by inspecting windows, bumpers, moldings, wax, etc.

Reject vehicles not meeting standards and return them to the detail shop for redo. Generate appropriate reports and re‑inspect problem vehicles to ensure quality standards are met.

Ensure employees have proper equipment and are properly trained in its use.

Ensure wash bays and other work areas are cleaned at the end of the workday and/or throughout if necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, including driving a vehicle into the building and to the proper clean‑car staging area, occasional sale‑day driving.

May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Generally, less than 2 years’ experience in a related field.

Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.

Preferred Qualifications

Basic knowledge of auto detailing, paint application processes, and associated repair procedures (preferred but not required).

Compensation Hourly base pay rate is $13.70 – $20.53 per hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.

Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.
