Team Player – Punctual, reliable, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
Detail‑Oriented – Focused on quality, accuracy and safety.
Trailer Technician Responsibilities
Inspect and repair semi‑trailers, including brakes, wiring, bodywork, lift gates and more.
Install and replace add‑on components such as toolboxes, winches, and ramp kits.
Perform fabrication and welding as needed.
Complete service reports and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Own a personal set of hand tools (except in California).
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with semi‑trailer equipment and maintenance.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools safely and efficiently.
Willingness to work overtime when needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Valid driver’s license (a plus, but not required).
3+ years of experience in semi‑trailer repairs.
Certified brake and FHWA inspector or ability to obtain certification.
Industry certifications such as ASE or welding certification.
Bilingual Spanish is a valuable asset.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Frequent standing, walking, kneeling and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
Work may be performed in a shop, yard or mobile service environment.
Exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, fumes and varying temperatures.
Moderate to loud noise levels.
