The Personal Care Assistant is a vital part of our team, providing aid to our participants and contributing to the care planning process as a member of our interdisciplinary team (IDT). Reporting to the Day Center Manager, the Personal Care Assistant ensures safe delivery of personal care services to participants at the WelbeHealth day center.

Responsibilities
Provide hands‑on personal care assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) to WelbeHealth participants, including escorting, toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, laundry, and physical lifting when transferring participants.
Measure and document participants’ vital signs as instructed.
Act as a medical escort when needed, assisting participants with boarding and exiting WelbeHealth transportation vehicles.
Oversee activity on the day center floor to assure participant safety.
Assist with meal service, ensuring participants receive the correct meals, and feed when needed.
Maintain personal care supplies such as incontinence supplies and grooming items.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification of Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in California preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience providing personal care to seniors.
CA Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire.
Proficiency in Mandarin and English or Cantonese and English.
Compensation Salary/Wage base range for this role is $21.00 – $25.22 hourly plus bonus and equity. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other qualifications.
