Benefits

New hourly full‑time team members working 30 hours or more per week are eligible for medical, dental, and life insurance plans after 60 days of full‑time employment.

Full‑time team members accrue paid time off (PTO) at 120 hours per year.

Part‑time team members accrue paid sick leave in accordance with state guidelines.

Position Overview The Server Assistant supports the dining room staff in providing prompt and courteous service to guests. This position reports to the Food & Beverage Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Create a welcoming atmosphere and provide exceptional hospitality by having a working knowledge of the resort facility and dining area, to respond to guest questions and speak enthusiastically about other resort services.

Greet guests in an energetic and friendly fashion.

Maintain effective communication with servers and respond to their requests for support.

Work as a team: clear tables after guests have left; take trays of dirty dishes to the kitchen; clean and reset tables.

Help servers carry trays of food or clear dishes, if requested. Ensure all guest needs are met with excellent service.

Notice and report potential safety issues, cleanliness concerns, or customer complaints to a supervisor.

Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications / Skills

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

One to three months’ related server experience preferred.

Must meet the state and federal minimum age requirement for serving alcohol, if applicable.

Current Food Handlers Card.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memorandums.

Ability to communicate positively and effectively with team members and supervisors about job tasks and responsibilities.

Desire to contribute to a productive work environment by maintaining a positive attitude with team members and the public.

Self‑motivation, ability to follow direction, and work independently with little supervision.

Initiative and practical problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make independent decisions based on sound judgment.

Good time management, organizational, and follow‑up skills.

Attention to multiple details in a fast‑paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.

Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.

Work Environment This position typically operates in an indoor restaurant setting, but employees may also work on a patio or for an outdoor event, exposed to weather conditions and occasionally native wildlife. The noise level can be loud. Outdoor work may require walking on variable terrain while carrying items and navigating event obstacles such as groups of people, table set‑ups, decorations, plants, and natural landscape.

Physical Demands The physical demands include hearing, seeing, speaking clearly, and understanding speech in noisy environments. The position is very active, requiring standing and walking for most of the shift. Employees must lift, balance, carry, bend, reach, and serve trays weighing up to 20 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds. Frequent hand washing is required, and navigation of busy work areas is essential.
