Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Painter to join our aviation maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing painting and finishing aircraft surfaces to meet manufacturer specifications, client expectations and aviation standards. This role demands precision, commitment to safety and an eye for aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare aircraft surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying chemical treatments
Mix and apply primers, enamels, lacquers, and specialized aviation coatings using spray guns and other equipment
Follow blueprint specifications, technical data sheets, and industry regulations
Inspect painted surfaces for smoothness, consistency, and proper adhesion
Perform touch-ups, repairs, and re-coatings as necessary
Maintain painting equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment
Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams for scheduling and delivery timelines
Document processes, materials used, and final inspections in maintenance records
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in painting preferred
2 years of experience in industrial painting, preferably in aerospace or automotive sectors
Strong understanding of paint chemistry, surface preparation techniques, and spray equipment handling
Ability to interpret technical manuals and blueprints
