Seymour Town
Assist the Director with the implementation of daily activities, lessons, and scheduled programming
Supervise and actively engage Pre-K campers at all times to ensure their safety, well-being, and inclusion
Support children’s participation in group activities through positive encouragement and age-appropriate guidance
Assist with classroom and activity room setup, breakdown, and organization
Monitor children’s behavior and respond appropriately using positive behavior management strategies
Handle minor conflicts or disputes between children and report ongoing or significant concerns to the Director
Assist with transitions between activities, snack time, bathroom breaks, and outdoor play
Follow and enforce all safety, health, and emergency procedures and assist with first aid as directed
Report incidents or accidents to the Director promptly
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe program space throughout the day
Maintain professional and respectful interactions with parents and guardians, directing questions or concerns to the Director as appropriate
Actively participate in all scheduled program activities
Wear staff t‑shirt and appropriate attire daily
Perform other related duties as assigned
Ability to work effectively with young children in a group setting
Ability to communicate clearly, patiently, and respectfully with children, staff, and parents
Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team
Positive, energetic, and dependable demeanor
Ability to remain attentive, calm, and responsive in a fast‑paced environment
Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age Prior experience working with young children preferred Students or individuals pursuing Early Childhood Education or related fields encouraged to apply Ability to attend all required program training sessions, staff meetings, and scheduled workdays Ability to follow safety protocols and program procedures consistently Supervision Received
