The United States Space Force (USSF) at Wright-Patterson AFB is searching for an Acquisition Program Manager to support NSIC (GG-1101-13). Are you an acquisition strategist ready to architect the future of America's space intelligence enterprise? The National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) is looking for a senior-level expert to serve as our lead Acquisition Program Management Specialist. This role is the go-to advisory position for senior leadership, shaping acquisition strategies that deliver the tools and services our intelligence analysts need to protect U.S. interests in the space domain. You will be the vital link connecting the mission, the operators, and the contracting officers, with the authority to chart the course where guidelines may not yet exist. Day-to-day, you will lead multi-functional teams to translate complex technical needs into clear contract requirements, create and manage processes that ensure mission success, and represent NSIC at executive levels with industry and government partners. You will solve complex problems, mentor junior specialists, and provide data-driven analysis that guides critical decisions. Seasoned navigator of the DoW/IC acquisition ecosystem. Mastery of the entire lifecycle, from crafting strategy and defining requirements to managing complex contracts and navigating the policies of the Defense Acquisition System. Expertise in DoW/IC Acquisition: Mastery of the principles, policies, laws, guidance, and practices governing systems acquisition and program management within the Department of War and Intelligence Community. Master of Program Execution. Track record of steering complex, technical programs to success, balancing contractual, financial, and performance elements to deliver capabilities on schedule and within budget. Intelligence Professional Thought Process. Understands the why behind contracts and translates operational needs into robust acquisition solutions. Natural Leader and Collaborator. Leads multi-disciplinary teams, communicates with clarity and influence to senior leaders, junior specialists, contracting officers, and industry partners. Forward-Thinking Innovator. Identifies process improvements, leverages automation and data, and drives digital transformation to improve organizational efficiency. Automation and Process Improvement Skills. Capable of creating automations to streamline requirements consolidation and provide timely notifications for contract and acquisition events, with a track record of process improvements. Independently handles a wide range of complex assignments and non-routine situations with independent judgment. Contracting Systems and Applications Expertise. Knowledge of digital contracting systems, databases, methods, practices, procedures, regulations and processes. DAWIA Certification And Development. Understanding of revised contracting certification guides (Services, Cyber/IT, Innovation, R&D) and ability to mentor others; current DAWIA certification highly desired. Education and Training. Knowledge of accreditation classes, events, processes, and certification related to Department of War and Intelligence Community contracting. Requirements
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/SCI security clearance. May be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework". May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis. May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments. This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first. PCS / relocation funding is authorized. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment and participation in random drug testing. This position is part of the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
