Ensures all crew members are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers. Trains the crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensuring each guest has a fast, friendly checkout experience. Oversees daily activities of store associates, ensuring they perform duties effectively and provide excellent customer service. Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock to ensure items are quickly and efficiently placed on the sales floor. Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and addressing urgent issues. Manages the opening or closing of the store, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and ensuring smooth daily operation. Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates to learn store policies, product knowledge, and procedures to improve performance. Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service. Partners with the store leadership team in merchandising procedures and World Recovery. Performs store maintenance such as taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, and maintaining the stock room. The pay range for this position is $17.40 to $17.65 per hour. Pay may vary based on factors including knowledge, skills, experience, education, and location. Depending on the position offered, benefits, bonuses, and other compensation may be provided as part of a total package. This job description is not all-inclusive. Additional responsibilities will be determined by the Store Manager, as dictated by store needs. QUALIFICATIONS
High School Graduate or equivalent College experience preferred Minimum 1 year of management experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task Creative thinking Ability to maintain composure under pressure ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Frequently operate cash register Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet Frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and stock Frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in stock room and on the sales floor Frequently communicate with customers in person or by phone, and with managers and coworkers; exchange accurate information Move across the sales floor assisting customers and retrieving/stocking merchandise Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and may include overnight shifts and travel as required Must be able to discern email and printed instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time Explore our benefits site to discover all the perks and support we offer.
