As a Center of Excellence, we are committed to ensuring that all available resources are used to assist personnel of the Naval Service—active, retired, and their eligible family members—to achieve financial self‑sufficiency and find solutions to emergency needs.

The NMCRS San Diego is looking for an Outreach Coordinator to represent the Society at events for active duty military, retirees, and their families.

The Outreach Coordinator serves as a knowledgeable resource of NMCRS programming and is often the first point of contact for many prospective clients and volunteers.

Time Commitment

Minimum 2‑4 hours per event, not including travel time to/from the venue.

Events may take place on Naval Base San Diego or at off‑base locations, with no more than two events per week.

Must be available to attend occasional weekday evening and weekend events.

Responsibilities

Provide briefings to build awareness of NMCRS programs and services and recruit volunteers.

Coordinate publicity of NMCRS programs and services at events and fairs.

Staff and set up tables.

Present a professional, friendly, and objective appearance.

Serve as an NMCRS Ambassador.

Qualifications

Commit to the team for a minimum of 6 months.

Complete NMCRS Orientation and Training.

Be comfortable speaking in front of large groups.

Possess knowledge of NMCRS programs and services.

Familiarity with military life is a plus but not required.
