Lecturer of Biology

Location: Tifton, GA – Full‑time, regular, 10‑month, non‑tenure‑track faculty position.
Job Summary The Department of Science and Mathematics is seeking a qualified lecturer to teach undergraduate courses in the Bachelor of Science in Biology program and to support non‑major science and pre‑nursing coursework. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate education, mentoring, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
Responsibilities
Teach general biology, environmental science, and associated laboratory courses.
Deliver courses in comparative anatomy and physiology and may develop upper‑level courses in the teacher’s area of expertise.
Participate in teaching, research, and service activities within the Department of Science and Mathematics.
Maintain laboratory instruction, preparation, and equipment as required.
Mentor undergraduate research and foster a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in biology or a closely related field.
Specialization in animal or human anatomy and physiology preferred.
Experience in laboratory instruction and a strong commitment to undergraduate education.
Excellent oral and written communication skills; collaborative mindset.
