Job Summary Pre‑emptive safety compliance, training, equipment management, and safety auditing across multiple North and South Carolina sites, ensuring all OSHA, MSHA, EPA, ANSI, DOT, and local standards are met.

Location and Travel Candidate may be located in either North or South Carolina.
Approximately 50% travel is expected; frequent travel within N. Carolina and S. Carolina and occasional trips to Richmond, VA.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate and assist with implementation of OSHA, MSHA, EPA, ANSI, DOT, and other Federal, State, and Local safety standards, and company safety programs.
Maintain company and customer safety records and reporting requirements (OSHA logs, Avetta, IsNetworld, EMCOR internal systems).
Conduct safety training during New Hire Orientations.
Conduct safety meetings at company facilities and job sites on an ad‑hoc or scheduled basis.
Assist with development and execution of specialized safety education programs.
Assist with distribution of safety information to Contractors, Subcontractors, and Customers; prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA) when required.
Coordinate with Operations to purchase and distribute safety equipment, tools, and PPE.
Conduct site, facility, and vehicle safety visits and audits to ensure compliance.
Complete injury and accident forms for affected employees and job sites in EMCOR’s internal tracking systems.
Maintain Safety Data Sheet information and ensure appropriate access for personnel.
Help enforce and communicate quality standards during site safety inspections.
Skills/Abilities
Working knowledge of Hazard Identification, Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, Fall Protection, and general safe work practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Education And Experience
Degree in Environmental Health and Safety field preferred but not required.
3–5 years of related experience in commercial/heavy industrial HVAC or construction industry.
10/30 Hour OSHA or other professional training agency certification preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, and climb ladders. Occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Good close‑vision required.
Work Environment Exposure to high noise levels, outdoors, and typical job site hazards.
Other Qualifications Local to North or South Carolina preferred. Must be able to travel, including overnight occasionally.
