The pay range per hour is $23.50 - $39.95. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications. ALL ABOUT FOOD & BEVERAGE
The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They are experts of operations, process and efficiency. This team leads food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, ensuring price accuracy and promotional signing processes for all Food & Beverage areas of the store.
Food & Beverage Team Leader – role overview
Leading guest service fundamentals and building a guest-first culture on your team
Food & Beverage business fundamentals: department sales trends, freshness and quality, inventory management, guest shopping patterns and pricing and promotions strategies
Planning department daily/weekly workload to support Food & Beverage priorities and deliver sales goals
Leading a team of hourly team members; including interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating and retaining talent
Responsibilities
Understand sales goals, plan and execute daily/weekly workload to deliver on department and store sales goals and guest engagement, including merchandising, pricing, changes to sales floor merchandise displays, sampling and promotions
Assess backroom and sales floor areas of Food & Beverage and Food Service (where applicable) on a daily basis; prioritize business needs and identify workload tasks for the team; review reporting to identify business trends for follow-up
Establish clear goals and expectations with the direct leader and hold team members accountable
Maintain a fresh, full and food-safe area during all operating hours leveraging inventory management, area routines and Food Safety policies and procedures
Deliver the Food & Beverage Standards
Validate and follow up on team members’ progress against their assigned workload tasks and production area routines
Work a schedule that aligns to guest and business needs (early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends)
Assign daily tasks to team members based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns
Develop and maintain partnerships with vendors to ensure clear expectations and brand standards are met
Foster a productive relationship with Starbucks district manager (if applicable); attend required in-store planning and business meetings
Ensure product is available for guests by placing store-initiated orders with vendors where applicable
Remain up-to-date on relevant trends and products to educate team members
Support the leader in hiring and onboarding of new team members
Become a subject matter expert in federal, state and local adult beverage laws as they apply to your business and protect the store’s liquor license (if applicable)
Lead the team to uphold all brand standards and foster a productive partnership with your Starbucks district manager (if applicable)
Complete all training requirements or certifications (if applicable)
Fulfill key carrying responsibilities and follow all safety and security training and processes
Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup and drive-up while maintaining compliance with laws
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; lead the team to do the same
Lead and demonstrate a safety culture, identify hazards, and report injuries promptly
Model the execution of physical security processes to enhance in-store security
Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store
Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches
Lead and demonstrate a culture of executing best practices; close skill gaps through development and coaching
Address all store emergency and compliance needs
Be a role model for guest engagement and helping guests with their needs
Lead by thanking guests and ensure they feel valued for shopping at Target
All other duties based on business needs

Requirements and qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Age 18 or older
Previous retail and/or food experience preferred but not required
Strong interest and knowledge of the Food & Beverage business
Ability to lead and hold others accountable
Effective communication and ability to use handheld scanners and technology
Work independently and as part of a team; manage workload and prioritize tasks
Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish tasks within timeframes
Welcoming attitude toward guests and team members
Additional basics we expect
Access all areas of the building to respond to issues
Interpret instructions, reports and information
Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
Climb ladders as needed
Scan, handle and move merchandise safely; frequently lifting up to 44 pounds
Flexible schedule (nights, weekends and holidays) with reliable attendance
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
