What You'll Do
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor for suspicious activity and report any incidents or hazards according to established protocols.
Assist store staff and visitors with security-related concerns and provide guidance as needed.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter theft, vandalism, and other disruptive behaviors within the retail environment.
Prepare clear and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as necessary during incidents or emergencies.
Adhere to all company, client, and legal requirements regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.
Minimum Requirements
An active armed guard card or license is required.
At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas only.
At least 5 years of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
