Start a rewarding career with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections! The State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Camp Hill is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic individual with food service experience to lead our food services department as Corrections Food Service Supervisor.
Description of Work In this position, you will perform supervisory work over large‑scale food preparation and food serving areas at SCI Camp Hill. Your work will involve supervising, coordinating, inspecting, and evaluating the work performed in food preparation and production, serving, and sanitation. This includes supervising food service personnel, maintaining order and discipline among inmate workers, establishing work procedures, scheduling work, and allocating staff to meet time requirements. You will also maintain records and reports relating to menu, recipes, orders, requisitions, inventory, and food service personnel and inmate help.
Work Schedule and Additional Information
Full‑time employment, 40 hours per week
Swing shift with rotating days off: 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
No telework option
Salary may be non‑negotiable in some cases

Qualifications Required Experience, Training & Eligibility
One year of experience as a Corrections Food Service Instructor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent federal government job title), or
Three years of experience in food preparation, production, or service of a variety of complete meal menus in an institutional food service operation, food catering service, restaurant, or a similar large‑scale food production operation, with one year of lead work experience, or
An equivalent combination of experience and training, including one year of lead work experience.
Additional Requirements
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements
Passing a background investigation and meeting Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
