Key Responsibilities
Perform machine setup and changeovers for production runs according to specifications.
Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
Conduct first-piece inspections and obtain quality approvals before production starts.
Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine and process issues during setup.
Document setup parameters, process adjustments, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize setup times and efficiency.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience in setting up, adjusting, and operating manufacturing equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Skilled in the use of various hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with PLC programming or industrial automation.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
Proficiency in CAD software for fixture or tooling modifications.
Advanced troubleshooting skills using specialized diagnostic equipment (e.g., vibration analysis, thermal imaging).
