For more information, please visit .The Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for leading routine sampling and testing of proppants ensuring all products meet or exceed industry specifications, and all testing procedures and practices are in compliance.
This position will be located at our Buffalo Grass terminal located between Carlsbad and Hobbs, New Mexico.**What You’ll Do*** Conduct testing and related tasks, including sample collection, sand/proppant analysis, air quality monitoring, and data entry.* Observe, report, and resolve potential operational or safety concerns.* Maintain lab standards and train employees on procedures, safety practices, and company policies.* Manage processes and equipment, coordinating with procurement, accounting, and other departments.* Collaborate with management and operations to plan and achieve production goals while maintaining quality standards.* Participate in daily safety briefings and ensure smooth shift handovers.* Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.**What We’re Looking For*** High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree preferred.* 0–2 years of relevant lab or quality control experience.* Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.* Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.**Work Environment & Physical Requirements*** Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including exposure to extreme temperatures.* Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.* Exposure to dust, chemicals, and hazardous materials.At The Andersons, you’ll be part of a team that values integrity, safety, and innovation.
