Responsibilities

Perform operational checkout of aircraft prior to and during preflight.

Inspect explosive and armament installations.

Maintain aircraft historical records.

Carry out preflight and final inspection activities and daily maintenance for experimental aircraft or major modifications.

Inspect, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair electrical and electronic systems.

Calibrate and repair electronic test equipment used for production.

Perform bench and flight line operational checkout of electrical/electronic systems, including troubleshooting, adjustment, and repair.

Fabricate, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair electronic test equipment.

Inspect and perform hydraulic and mechanical system checkout.

Diagnose and correct hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions and run engine run‑ups.

Perform engine buildup and replace tanks, power plants, generators, and aircraft engines.

Repair leaks, and install/replace instruments such as fuel quantity, rate of climb, and oil pressure indicators.

Execute crash crew duties as directed.

Splice, route, clamp, solder, and string wire bundles.

Install and connect bomb, missile, and rocket racks and pylons.

Install ejection seats, guns, and adjust, repair and replace structural parts and assemblies.

Fabricate parts such as skins, doors, frames, air bags, test panels, brackets, angles, and ribs without the aid of jigs and fixtures.

Modify aircraft components or support equipment.

Perform composite repairs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills)

Flight line experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills)

Military aircraft avionics and/or mechanical experience.

Experience troubleshooting electronic systems.

Current or recent (within 24 months) U.S. security clearance.

Education / Experience High‑school graduate or GED; preferably one or more years of related work experience.

Additional Information

This is a full‑time, hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement.

The selected candidate must work any shift, as assigned.

All new hires are subject to a 120‑day probationary period following completion of required training.

Work is 100% onsite; relocation may be offered.

Open to U.S. citizens; U.S. secret clearance required.

Drug‑free workplace; testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol may be conducted.

Employer will not sponsor work visas.

Location Mascoutah, IL – 100% onsite.

Total Rewards and Compensation Hourly pay in the range of $27.00 to $37.15, based on experience and qualifications.
