Overview
Finishing Department – Hot Stamp The Finishing Department takes printed panels and turns them into individual cards. The Hot Stamp Operator works 1st shift Monday - Friday 5:30am - 1:30pm and manages two machines that apply small holograms, logos, or foil designs onto cards. This role requires consistency, focus, and an eye for precision, ensuring cards are cut clean, corners are smooth, and no defects move forward in the process. Material is loaded into the machine, finished cards are sorted, and any pieces that don’t meet quality standards are removed. This is a fast-paced area where consistency and attention to detail are essential as products transition to the next stage of production.
STARTING AT $17/HOUR, INCREASES BASED ON EXPERIENCE.
Responsibilities
Ability to comprehend and translate written work instructions to provide training to other employees and temporaries assigned in the department
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a time sensitive, deadline driven environment
Understanding of quality processes and procedures
Understanding the influences of the vision system. (Pixels, lighting, masking and filters – ensuring that the correct vision file is created)
Safety conscious with a good understanding of general safety requirements
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required
Ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Job Specifications
Exposure to shop noise
Required to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to operate mechanical machinery
Physically able to bend, lift, and stand over long periods of time
Flexibility on schedule (must be able to work overtime and on weekends on an as needed basis)
Ability to look at work being produced in high-speed environment for extended periods of time
Adheres to MasterCard and Visa association security standards
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required, technical trade school training is preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in similar manufacturing role
Basic computer skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
