G+D is looking for a hands-on Process Engineer to lead operational process improvements, implement Lean methodologies, and enhance production systems across our high-security manufacturing environment. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost through tactical and strategic engineering initiatives. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to standardize workflows, optimize performance, and drive Lean thinking across the facility.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Lead and implement process improvements that support key KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation). Conduct root cause analysis, corrective/preventive action (CAPA), and continuous improvement activities using Lean tools such as: 5S sustainment Gemba walks and huddle leadership SPC and CPK analysis SMED/setup reduction Waste and variation reduction Line balancing and flow creation Kanban and inventory optimization
Develop and improve systems that enhance efficiency from design through production. Evaluate, design, and reconfigure manufacturing processes to boost productivity, sustainability, and profitability. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to select materials and ensure compatibility with production standards. Oversee plant layout changes, facility workflow, and security/safety improvements. Lead installation and start-up of new equipment and processes. Provide technical support to production teams and clients. Support Incoming Quality Inspection and R&D Test Lab functions. Assist in developing best practices for manufacturing high-performance cards. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 5+ years of combined education and relevant experience. Proven success leading or facilitating cross-functional teams. Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and Six Sigma principles. Hands-on experience with process improvement in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Familiarity with SPC, SMED, inventory control systems, and industrial engineering concepts. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Computer proficiency with general engineering software and data analysis tools. High attention to detail, accountability, and passion for continuous improvement. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Six Sigma certification or active practitioner experience. Background in secure, high-volume manufacturing. Experience installing or commissioning new production equipment. Comfortable operating in a data-driven, metrics-focused culture. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs. On-site presence required; regular attendance and some overtime may be necessary. Fast-paced production environment with exposure to secure manufacturing processes.
The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 per year and is eligible for an annual bonus.
