Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Operate one or more pieces of machinery across multiple departments.

Perform operations efficiently and safely with minimal supervision.

Monitor production to assure quality standards are met.

Able to train new operators.

Be able to shift between departments based on demand fluctuations in critical positions.

Assist the Line Lead and Group Lead with ensuring the department follows the production schedule.

Provide coverage in the absence of Line Leads and Group Leads for supervisory responsibilities when necessary.

Start and stop machines at specified intervals; operate machines per specifications at standard efficiency.

Perform set‑up duties and make minor equipment adjustments as agreed upon with Maintenance.

Immediately stop malfunctioning equipment and notify supervisor or mechanic that repairs or adjustments are necessary.

Report to supervisor any situation where the operation deviates from acceptable quality, production or safety standards.

Monitor raw material usage and report excessive loss to the supervisor.

Document daily production, as required.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area and keep equipment cleaned at all times.

Follow all company rules and regulations, per the Employee Handbook or department policy.

Perform other duties as required.

Must be able to lift 40 pounds overhead.

Must be able to use hand tools, power tools and high‑pressure washer.

Must be able to learn to operate machinery via PLC interface.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to operate in three or more departments on critical equipment.

Knowledge of company products and procedures.

Customer focused with a strong attention to detail.

Able to work overtime on short notice.

Able to reach, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs.), twist, squat, push and pull.

Good manual dexterity and eye‑hand coordination.
