Location: San Antonio, TX | Report to: Service Manager
We are looking to add an experienced full‑time Truck Mechanic to our growing branch. The position requires a strong background in truck maintenance and a commitment to safety and quality.
Summary The truck mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on pickup trucks, including Diesel Haul Trucks and shop equipment. The role follows all State and Federal laws while operating motor vehicles and adheres to safety and environmental policies.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred
At least 2 years of experience as a mechanic in an automotive, trucking, or heavy equipment environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience is a plus.
Ability to safely lift over 50 lbs.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Trade school diploma preferred
Must have a current Texas Department of Public Safety class C Driver's License
2 years of Power Stroke experience preferred
Responsibilities
Perform scheduled maintenance on pickup trucks and all other diesel equipment.
Diagnose and repair all systems (electrical, mechanical, etc.) on pickup trucks and other equipment.
Document all maintenance and repairs performed and file records properly.
Communicate safety issues verbally to customers and coworkers on location before and during job tasks.
Report to Supervisor and/or Lead Mechanic on completion of assigned tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
