Yellowhouse Machinery is currently accepting applications for John Deere Service Technicians at our Abilene, Texas location. Applicants must exhibit a strong work ethic, provide supporting references, and have relevant experience. John Deere experience is preferred. We service and repair John Deere Wheel Loaders, Backhoes, Motor Graders, Excavators, Crawler Dozers, Articulated Dump Trucks, and many other equipment used in the construction and agricultural industries. We offer a competitive pay and benefits package for the right applicant.
Hiring Location: Abilene, TX Pay: $18 - $50 per hour
Reporting Reports To: Service Manager
Job Essential Duties
Accurately diagnose and repair John Deere Construction and Forestry equipment as well as other various brands of equipment supported by Yellowhouse Machinery.
Rebuild or replace various types of powertrain and hydraulic components including engines, transmissions, axles, control valves, hydraulic pumps, etc.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while on duty.
Align with safety compliance per company policy.
Maintain a clean work environment and properly care for shop equipment and specialty tools provided.
Participate in a positive and relationship-building work environment alongside coworkers in Service, Sales, and Parts departments.

Basic computer skills to efficiently utilize service and parts support programs.
Ability to maintain and create accurate and comprehensive service reports on tasks performed during service or repair.
Must have general knowledge of troubleshooting electrical, hydraulics and power train components.
Must be able to work efficiently in a shop team environment.
Willingness to participate in company-paid training as required.
Must possess personal hand and pneumatic tools to perform diagnostic, service and repair work on heavy equipment.
Must carry out instructions or duties provided by the Service Manager or Shop Foreman in an effort to efficiently and effectively service or repair machines.
Applicant must pass a physical drug screening and possess a driver's license.
