Job Summary The Outbound Team Lead maintains in-depth knowledge of our products and outbound procedures and stays in regular contact with the shift manager and peers in each department to meet daily goals. This position identifies operating issues and takes corrective action as needed; this includes receiving and providing clear directions and serving as a role model of our culture to effectively communicate with employees and drive engagement.

Responsibilities

Assist leadership in overseeing daily operations in the department to ensure a high level of productivity and quality while achieving operating goals; promote team adherence to Company policies and procedures

Work closely with leadership to monitor and provide consistent feedback to employees on individual and team performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

In collaboration with leadership, conduct daily team meetings to update employees on work expectations, task assignments, best practices and operating expectations

Clearly communicate team goals, resolve problems as they arise, and answer any related questions

Assist with developing a cross‑trained team that can flex into other departments or jobs as needed

Maintain a high level of communication with outbound teams and management daily; partner with other team leads to flex hours where necessary

Ensure that employees are consistently informed of their performance and progress

Serve as a resource for all employees regarding job tasks, company policies and procedures and warehouse initiatives

Report personnel issues to the department leadership to enable timely resolutions

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.

Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.

Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.

Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.

Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75 lbs.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; shipping experience preferred but not required.

Education

This role does not require a degree. We value relevant skills and experience and alignment with our core values above all else.

Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills required

Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence

Customer service‑oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
