Night Shift Outbound Material Handler (3A Shift) WebstaurantStore

Job Summary The Outbound Material Handler is responsible for ensuring that all orders are picked, consolidated, packed, and shipped in a timely and accurate manner.

These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth outbound operations.

This position requires the use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which may include Powered Industrial Trucks.

Responsibilities

Retrieve items from racking accurately and efficiently, using handheld scanning devices and ERP system, on foot or using forklift equipment.

Sort and consolidate picked items using handheld scanning devices, preparing customer orders for shipment processing.

Pack products accurately and securely using internal SPS system, focusing on providing an excellent customer experience.

Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following established protocols and promoting safe working standards.

Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy, and quality of work.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following safety guidelines and reporting hazards to leadership.

Work closely with team members and leadership to meet departmental goals.

Abide by all company and warehouse policies.

Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.

Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.

Requires regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.

Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.

Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75 lbs.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, order pickers, etc.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence.

Customer service‑oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.

Language Skills

Business proficiency in written and spoken English.

Education This role does not require a degree.

Desired Traits & Skills

1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment (preferred but not required).
