Position Summary Production Support is responsible for operating case erectors and material handling equipment to include forklift and squeeze truck.
Job Function Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Support gluer uptime by ensuring erected cases are delivered in a timely manner.
Train others to operate case erector as needed.
Perform operational preventative maintenance tasks on case erectors.
Execute SAP work orders on the case erectors.
Assist with conveyer jams as needed.
Perform quality inspections on incoming corrugate.
Operate the down stroke bailer.
Organize and maintain corrugated inventory for use on gluers.
Operate four balers; properly load baling wire to ensure minimum of four wires per bale.
Perform daily baler operator inspections and cleaning.
Safe operations of material handling equipment (forklift, squeeze truck) to move materials as needed.
Required Skills
Ability to frequently lift fifty (50) pounds.
Able to multi-task with ease.
Constant bending, twisting, and stooping.
Occasional reaching to change tape on the case erector.
Forklift certification is required.
Candidates must be proficient in English, with the ability to communicate, read, and understand work-related instructions and safety procedures and requirements.
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Safe Quality Food Responsibilities for all employees
Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
