Job Description

Always maintain a safe work environment and work with the assigned shift to resolve safety issues

Maintain clean, neat, and orderly work areas

Create/complete notifications & work orders

Respond to unplanned equipment needs and breakdowns during shift. Performing breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, and support as directed on all production equipment, utilities, building/grounds, etc.

Communicate follow‑ups, opportunities, and details to maintenance, operations, and leadership organizations.

Maintain PM compliance on assigned shift PM work orders

Be able to troubleshoot problems with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and take initiative to correct and seek immediate assistance as necessary.

Complete parts requisitions, reservations, work orders, time confirmations, and notifications within SAP completely and in a timely manner.

Adhere to preventative/predictive maintenance schedules as outlined in work schedules for both outage and non‑outage work.

Physical Demands

Position is associated with pushing, pulling, climbing, reaching, stretching, and working in tight positions.

The employee is continuously required to lift up to 20 pounds, frequently required to lift 10 to 50 pounds and occasionally required to lift over 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally required to carry over 50 pounds.

Must have physical coordination to operate forklift.

Must have the physical ability and coordination to operate machinery (Lathe, Grinder, Drill Press, Handsaw, etc.) used to make and repair parts.

Must have the physical ability and coordination to remove and replace parts from machinery.

Inside conditions: extremes of heat (100+ seasonal), humidity, working in tight areas, noise (from production machinery) and working with various oils, solvents, and other related chemicals.

Must be able to work 12‑hour, rotating shifts on both days and nights.

Required Skills

Must demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills

Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet Research proficiency

Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and Visio a plus

Good project management skills.

Self‑starter

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Understanding of reliability engineering fundamentals

Proficient understanding of PdM methodologies

PdM certifications a plus

Multiple PLC/drive programming

Able to identify, locate, order, manage spare parts as needed

Required Experience

Must have 5–10 years of demonstrated mechanical and electrical skills in industrial maintenance or equivalent education

Advanced SAP or equivalent CMMS experience

Knowledgeable in printing and converting technologies a plus

Multiple equipment‑specific SME

Trainer experience a plus (MX & OPS technicians on specific equipment)

Safe Quality Food Responsibilities For All Employees

Follow all plant rules, processes, hygiene, and allergens procedures, related to production of safe quality foods.

Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or non‑compliance to SQF related procedures.

Participate in SQF root‑cause and corrective actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.

Follow all procedures related to producing safe quality foods (SQF).

Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.

Candidates must be proficient in English, with the ability to communicate, read, and understand work‑related instructions and safety procedures and requirements.
