Position Summary

The United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused Membership & Customer Service Assistant to support the Membership and Customer Service Department and provide administrative assistance across the organization as needed. This position plays a vital role in delivering excellent customer service to USHJA members while ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy and organization, and is passionate about supporting the hunter/jumper community. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Office Administration Answer and manage the main USHJA telephone line, responding to inquiries or directing callers appropriately Manage out-of-office greetings and monitor voicemail for the main line Greet, screen, and direct visitors Assist with office supply inventory and ordering Monitor and distribute non-accounting faxes Maintain an orderly lobby and ensure relevant literature is available Customer Service Provide exceptional customer service to USHJA members via email and telephone Respond to inquiries related to memberships, horse registrations, points, competitions, awards, and general USHJA information Membership Services Assist with processing individual memberships, horse registrations, and horse transfers Support the Membership Department with administrative tasks as needed Executive Office Support Assist the Executive Office Coordinator with Annual Meeting registration and EOE ticketing Support non-travel event and meeting coordination Coordinate usage of USHJA facilities by outside organizations Assist with Kentucky Horse Park-related needs, including parking pass renewals and special event tickets (e.g., Land Rover events) Support staff recognition efforts, including Horse Power Awards, anniversaries, and birthday celebrations Other Duties Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor Core Competencies

Education & Experience Some college coursework preferred Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience Basic to intermediate knowledge of horse sports preferred Technical & Office Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) Working knowledge of Windows operating systems Comfortable using office equipment (telephone, copier, scanner, fax, postal machine, calculator) Able to utilize the internet effectively for research Additional Requirements Availability for occasional after-hours or weekend work for special projects and events Valid driver's license with no restrictions Physical Demands

Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach Frequently lift and/or move items of varying weight Travel by air or automobile may be required Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Work Environment
