The Furniture Technician ensures all furniture, whether in customer homes, stores, or the warehouse, meets company standards through skilled, complex repairs and proper installation of required parts. The role maintains organized tools and materials, adheres to safety and OSHA protocols, and supports housekeeping and cross‑department needs to keep operations running smoothly. With strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and effective communication, the technician helps deliver showroom‑quality products and contributes to daily productivity goals.
A day in the Life of a Furniture Technician
Performs complex repairs of furniture in customer homes, the warehouse, and in stores as assigned
Reports product quality or trend issues to Supervisor or Lead
Installs and orders all necessary parts
Ensures that only showroom quality furniture will be delivered to customers
Maintains adequate supplies, parts and tools to perform the job
Maintains proper storage of chemicals and or hazardous materials per OSHA standards.
Must learn and maintain product knowledge
Cleans up and disposes boxes, packing material, and pallets, as well as general housekeeping of facility and specific product line areas
Rotates through different departments, as necessary, to meet the demands of the business
Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position
Performs all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals
What you’ll bring to the table

Mechanical aptitude to assemble furniture pieces
Strong communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

3+ years of experience in repairing furniture or/and carpentry
