The Operations Representative

is a core operational role

and a central driver of Alaska 360’s daily success . This position sits at the intersection of logistics, communication, and guest experience, ensuring that every tour, transfer, and interaction operates seamlessly from dock to dock.

As one of the most operationally significant positions within the company, the Operations Representative plays a direct role in maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and guest satisfaction across all departments. Decisions made in this role have immediate, visible impact on the success of daily operations.

While the position naturally entails oversight due to the responsibility and complexity of the work, as job knowledge, consistency, and sound judgment are demonstrated, the role evolves into one that requires minimal oversight . What You’ll Do Working closely with the Operations Manager and Chief Operating Officer (COO) , you will support and execute day-to-day dock, site, and Front of House (FOH) operations. Responsibilities rotate based on performance and operational needs, providing variety and increasing responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities

Lead dock and FOH operations, ensuring tours run accurately and on schedule

Serve as a primary liaison with cruise ship shore excursion teams

Confirm tour counts, manage guest flow, and coordinate arrivals and departures

Reconcile tour numbers and finalize daily settlement paperwork

Maintain dispatch sheets, settlement spreadsheets, and operational reports

Coordinate cast member and guest movements across docks and site locations

Receive shipments and manage dock, office, and operational inventory

Assist with staging, parking, and dispatching tour coaches and transportation vehicles

Support other departments as needed and maintain clean, organized workspaces and vehicles

Educational Background

High School Diploma required or equivalent (GED)

Operations/logistics or business administration or supply chain management studies -a plus but NOT required

Professional Experience

1+ year of experience in operations or logistics- a plus

Experience in hospitality or tourism- preferred

Required Skills & Abilities

Legally eligible to work in the US

21 years or older

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Ability to stand and walk for an 8-hour workday

Comfortable working in a small, tight-knit team environment

Strong sense of urgency – able to move quickly to prioritize and accomplish tasks effectively and efficiently in a professional manner

Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills

Ability to supervise employees and coordinate with managers and other departments

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Flexible, versatile, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows applications

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Physical Demands Expanded This role is active but not labor-intensive , requiring prolonged standing and walking primarily outdoors in rain, wind, sun, and cooler temperatures . Tasks include bending, reaching, repetitive motion, holding arms up to direct or signal for periods of time , on docks, and uneven surfaces.

While there may be short periods of reduced activity, employees must remain organized, attentive, and operationally ready at all times. This position is ideal for individuals who can balance physical activity with mental focus in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.
