Job Title Maintenance Technician - Seasonal

Position Reports To Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary Beachfront resort on Atlantic Beach seeks an experienced technician to join our crew and help maintain and upkeep resort‑managed condominium units in advance of the summer season. Maintenance Technicians must perform skilled work to keep appliances, mechanical equipment, or the structure of our buildings in repair. Duties may involve painting, carpentry, light plumbing, HVAC maintenance, electrical repair, and building, floor or stair repairs. Weekend work is required. Shifts can vary from 8 am start to 7 pm end. This position will conclude by May 2026 but may be extended based on performance and current staffing needs at the time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

General upkeep, preventative maintenance and minor repairs to keep units in like‑new working condition, including but not limited to plumbing, painting, tiling, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair and furnishings replacement.

Exterior painting and repairs as needed to parking lot, poolside area, buildings and walkways.

Preventative maintenance to equipment used by groundskeepers, housekeeping and maintenance.

Organise and keep inventory of stocked replacement items.

Re‑keys, replace and repair door locks as required.

Repair or replace stove burners as needed.

Replace switches, plugs, circuit breakers and light fixtures, light bulbs and HVAC filters, fan belts on motors when needed.

Perform other duties as required.

Participate in all required health and safety meetings/classes.

Conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.

Follow all rules and regulations set forth in the latest employee handbook.

Assist with any special projects as assigned by Supervisor.

Accept constructive criticism and follow posted work rules and procedures.

Follow directions from a supervisor and interact well with co‑workers, subordinates and supervisors.

Participate in all required health and OSHA safety meetings/classes.

Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the General Manager, Assistant Manager, Front Desk Supervisor or CV Director of Resorts.

Job Expectations

Display a pleasant, professional and guest‑oriented attitude at all times.

Possess a general knowledge of hand tools and small power tool use.

Maintain equipment and use it in an appropriate safe manner.

Diagnose problems, troubleshoot and determine a course of action to efficiently complete a task and restore to working order.

Understand guests/guestroom security, privacy and comforts.

Comply with resort and department codes, policies, procedures and regulations.

Be willing to participate in team efforts and communicate with fellow employees.

Physical Demands Physically able to walk/stand through an extensive facility, climb ladders as needed, drive vehicles of all types; work in extreme cold/heat as necessitated by local weather conditions. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Work Environment All weather conditions will be experienced. Environment may include exposure to fumes, chemicals, mold and other possible allergens. Must be comfortable working in heat, cold or inclement weather for sustained periods of time.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Some experience in plumbing repairs, appliance repairs, electrical repairs and painting.

Minimum of 2+ years in a related field.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills.
