as a Quality Assurance Technician on the 2nd shift. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of our food products through inspections, tests, and audits across the production process.

Shift Details

$1.50 shift differential for hours worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Flexibility for overtime and weekends.

Duties & Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure adherence to quality specifications and regulatory requirements.

Maintain thorough and accurate records of inspection and testing activities, including test results, deviations, and corrective actions taken.

Monitor critical control points and production parameters to identify and address deviations from established standards.

Verify that equipment, facilities, and personnel adhere to sanitation standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Assist in audits and maintenance of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans; participate in HACCP meetings.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in quality-related projects and initiatives.

Provide training to production personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

Flexibility to work overtime and non‑standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED; additional vocational training or certification in food production or manufacturing is a plus.

Previous experience working in food manufacturing or a similar production environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Knowledge of food safety regulations (FSA, USDA) and quality assurance practices (GMPs).

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

Daily exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and/or poor lighting, noise and vibration.

Exposure to physical risks and hazards such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives.

Ability to stand, walk, lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds, and perform fine dexterity tasks on a daily basis.
