Job Summary The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for managing the admissions process from inquiry to move‑in while supporting census development and quality mix. This role serves as a key liaison between residents, families, referral sources, and internal departments to ensure a smooth transition into the facility.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate all aspects of the admissions process

Conduct tours for prospective residents, families, and referral sources

Handle walk‑in, phone, and electronic inquiries and follow up promptly

Obtain, review, and verify clinical, financial, and insurance information

Screen and evaluate prospective residents against admission criteria

Partner with hospitals, discharge planners, case managers, and social services

Ensure all admission documentation is accurate and complete

Assist with census development and referral source relationship building

Address resident and family concerns during admission and transition

Prepare admissions reports and track trends

Participate in community referral events and outreach efforts

Support Administrator with follow‑up on admissions and discharges as needed

Qualifications

College degree preferred

Sales or marketing experience (healthcare preferred)

Familiarity with long‑term care or healthcare settings strongly preferred

Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

Professional appearance and demeanor
