This position will be based out of our Crisis Center in Dothan.
Working hours will be on a Pitman Schedule: Week 1: 7a-7p Monday, Thursday, Friday Week 2: 7a-7p Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday Position will rotate being on call after hours, weekends, and/or holidays. May require travel within the catchment area.
Position Summary / Function This position is responsible for employee scheduling in the Day Treatment, Residential Services Program and Crisis Center of SpectraCare and/or its subsidiaries.
The HR‑Scheduler will ensure staffing requirements for each work shift are met to comply with internal and external policies, including but not limited to Alabama Department of Mental Health standards and SpectraCare Policies and Procedures.
The HR – Scheduler will conduct follow‑up with program managers and communicate with levels of management to ensure program needs are being met through staffing.
The position may require filling in or working in various departments as needed, maintain working schedules through the OnShift Scheduling Program, and exercise independent judgment in some decisions made.
Some travel may be required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES / FUNCTIONS / TASKS
Efficiently and effectively fill open positions with PRN, floaters, and at times regular staff to meet the demands of SpectraCare programs.
Responsible for and establish work schedules of relief and/or float staff as needed to work for all programs.
Maintain an updated listing of all PRN staff across programs to include but not limited to facilities and hours available to work.
Will be responsible for maintaining work schedules via the OnShift Scheduling Program.
Will work with Program Directors and/or other management to ensure vacant positions and/or open shifts due to annual leave, illness, etc. are filled with PRN staff, floaters, and/or regular staff, while minimizing overtime, to meet staffing requirements in accordance with internal and external policies.
Manages the OnShift application to roll out staff alerts for open shifts, vacant shifts, creation of schedules, etc.
Monitors the overtime of employees when scheduling to not exceed parameters set.
Schedule PRN staff while maintaining threshold parameters for working hours in accordance with the Affordable Care Act.
Communicate with Directors regarding day‑to‑day schedule changes and/or concerns. Will report to Scheduling Coordinator any scheduling concerns, HR/Payroll concerns for payroll adjustments, etc. that may need to be made.
May be required to fill in at other programs as necessary.
Will communicate all staffing callouts and/or scheduling through the use of Microsoft Teams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
HS Diploma or GED required
Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills to include but not limited to HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, or other similar programs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
One (1) to two (2) years’ experience preferred in scheduling
Knowledge of HR Federal and State Laws
