Student Health Services IT Technician

Job Description Provide technical support for hardware, software, and end‑user inquiries within the Student Health Services environment. Services are delivered primarily through in‑person interactions.
Responsibilities
Desktop support and troubleshooting, including setups, driver and firmware updates
Hardware upgrades and repairs
Printer maintenance and troubleshooting
Software troubleshooting and installation
Routine virus scanning and cleanup
Troubleshoot user account issues
Use endpoint management system to deploy machines
Escalate issues to appropriate IT teams when local resolution is out of scope
Conduct afternoon floor checks to proactively address outstanding issues
Document all trouble tickets in the ticketing system
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent plus two or more years of experience in an IT support position (or equivalent post‑secondary coursework)
Comfortable lifting and moving equipment up to 40 lb.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience troubleshooting Windows 10‑11 and macOS Sonoma/Sequoia
Experience troubleshooting Apple and Android mobile devices
Experience with basic computer hardware and printer issues
Prior technical documentation experience
2 years of college experience (or equivalent)
Special Skills / Training
Knowledge of computer systems and peripheral equipment operation
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot client issues via multiple contact methods
Adaptability to a dynamic technical environment
Excellent time‑management skills
Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills
Strong communication skills
Team‑work and collaboration with a diverse group of stakeholders
Additional Information for Applicants
Valid Florida Driver’s License and reliable transportation required
Must be able to work 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Current U.S. work authorization; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
