Press Assistant (Komori/Heidelberg) – 3rd Shift 4over

Pay $17.00/hr – $19.00/hr

Schedule 3rd shift – Monday to Friday, 8+ hours per day, 5 days per week. Primary schedule 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM.

Summary The Assistant Press Operator assists the Press Operator and Lead Press Operator in the basic setup and maintenance of the presses, verifying proper paper sheet sizes and types. They are also responsible for ensuring that all presses are supplied and fed with required quantities of paper and other consumables. Experience with Komori/Heidelberg presses is highly preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Check paper sheet size/type and verify materials required.

Assist with managing the preparation of next jobs to be printed.

Assist with press maintenance tasks and cleaning.

Support the Lead Press Operator by completing tasks as directed to keep the press running.

Actively remove waste items for recycling.

Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.

Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and free of safety hazards.

Report workplace hazards to management immediately.

Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.

Report all work‑related injuries, illnesses, and/or near misses to management immediately.

Keep all work area/station in compliance with our housekeeping guidelines.

Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.

Maintain departmental housekeeping standards, such as keeping floors swept and free of debris.

Perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s) regularly.

Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

Attend all department/company meetings.

Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

At least 1 year of experience working within a fast‑paced production or manufacturing environment.

High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred.

Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to read and comprehend job assignment tickets and customer instructional specifications.

Basic computer knowledge.

Effective communication with all members of the organization.

Excellent attention to detail.

Quality, production, and team oriented mindset.

Mechanically inclined.

Ability to adapt to schedule changes based on the needs of production.

Ability to cross‑train and work in other departments and/or machines.
