The Material Handler Shipping must work safely and observe all plant safety, GMP, and food safety rules. Responsible for the safe and effective use of industrial lift trucks in accordance with plant procedures. Routinely fill customer orders, load trucks and complete required paperwork. Perform bay maintenance and support inventory control. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Mizkan America safety policies, OSHA regulations, GMP, and SOP. Perform material handling duties, which include but are not limited to:
Fill customer orders. Load outbound trailers with finished product. Complete required paperwork. Maintain stretch wrapper machine, change film and load cardboard tops. Perform bay maintenance. Support department inventory control programs.
Microsoft D365 training and usage. Maintain license plate printers, change labels and ribbon. Perform physical labor to load and unload partial pallets and/or make up full pallets. Maintain simple records and paperwork related to inventory and quality. Performs other duties as required or directed. Education
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required Experience and Qualifications
Must be able to complete industrial lift truck license training. Must have strong computer literacy skills and ability to learn Microsoft D365 program. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy required. Must be respectful and work well with all levels of personnel. Great work attitude, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills. Must be able to work overtime on short notice. Long-term, temporary assignments to any shift may be required. Ability to work in high temperatures, at heights, and expose to strong smells, dust, gases, fumes and chemicals requiring personal protective equipment. Must be able to use Personal Protective Equipment. Must pass a post‑offer pre‑employment drug screening, background check, and physical. Physical Requirements
Eyes (vision acuity near/far) Balance, climbing, crawling, crouching, depth perception, driving, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, sitting, standing, stooping, talking, walking Can see, sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, reach, bend, twist, ascend/descend.
