Summary The Material Handler Utility must work safely and observe all plant safety, GMP, and food safety rules. Responsible for the safe and effective use of industrial lift trucks in accordance with plant procedures. Routinely fill customer orders, load trucks and complete required paperwork. Perform bay maintenance and support inventory control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with Mizkan America safety policies, OSHA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).

Perform material handling duties, which include but are not limited to:

Fill customer orders.

Load outbound trailers with finished product.

Complete required paperwork.

Maintain stretch wrapper machine, change film and load cardboard tops.

Perform bay maintenance.

Support department inventory control programs.

Microsoft D365

Maintain license plate printers, change labels and ribbon.

Perform physical labor to load and unload partial pallets and/or make up full pallets.

Maintain simple records and paperwork related to inventory and quality.

Performs other duties required of the position or as directed.

Education

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required

Experience and Qualifications

Must be able to complete industrial lift truck license training.

Must have strong computer literacy skills and ability to learn Microsoft D365 program.

Excellent attention to details and accuracy required.

Must be respectful and work well with all levels of personnel.

Great work attitude, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.

Must be able to work overtime on short notice basis. Long‑term, temporary assignments to any shift may be required to maintain manufacturing processes.

Ability to work in high temperatures (hot or cold), working at heights and exposure to strong smells, dust, gases, fumes and chemical or require personal protective equipment.

Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment.

Must be able to pass a post‑offer pre‑employment drug screening, pre‑employment background check, and pre‑employment physical.

Ability to pull, push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., 50+ lbs. with assistance.
