Material Handler/Forklift Operator

Overview
This position is primarily responsible for all material handling in staging, loading, and unloading finished product, maintaining warehouse inventory, and supplying production lines with the necessary material, parts and packaging. Experience in operating a forklift, reach truck and other power equipment is preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Properly operate and maintain Forklift, Reach Truck
Movement of raw and finished goods physically within the plant and associated material movement transactions in Syteline system with RF Scanner
Ensure product identification on all parts and/or containers
Supply and setup material for production
Counts and communicates inventory needs of material
Housekeeping in all material storage locations and assembly area
Follow all safety guidelines and wear proper personal protective equipment
Perform a variety of tasks with little to no supervision
Attend pre-Shift Meeting (safety, quality, material issues, other)
Communicate, monitor, enforce, and report issues related to safety regulations and company policies
Complete forklift inspection and fill out forklift safety logs
Walks all areas during the day and before the end of shift to ensure housekeeping/5S forms are complete
Fill out any other required post shift paperwork
Communicates hot parts or inventory discrepancies
Communicates equipment safety concerns/issues
Salary : $18.00 per hour
Schedule : Morning
Requirements COMPETENCIES:
Able to work overtime and weekends
Intermediate computer skills
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school education or equivalent
Minimum 1 -2 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Minimum 1 - 2 years forklift experience
RF Scanner experience
