Payrate: $40.51 + $1.00/hr shift differential for nightshift

The Opportunity: We are seeking a Maintenance Service Technician at our Lanett, AL folding carton facility. The Maintenance Service Technician is responsible to help maintain a safety oriented work environment while effectively maintaining the conditions of the equipment in a cost-efficient manner, maintain the Lanett facility and machinery through repairs and preventive maintenance and maintain adequate supplies and maintenance parts, coordinate contract repairs and modifications.
Perform machine and facility repairs (mechanical and electrical)
Purchase and maintain spare parts and supplies for maintaining the facility and manufacturing machinery
Perform preventative maintenance tasks and manage overall preventative maintenance program
Coordinate and manage contract repairs and modification to facility and manufacturing machinery
Participate on various teams and perform various other tasks as assigned
Follow all safety rules and procedures and actively participate in the plant safety process to support the goal of zero injuries
Compliance with governmental regulations through successful audits and inspections
Cost reduction and cost improvement over prior years’ performance
Meet the highest level of equipment production time
Achieve highest level of network and computer operations
What You Need to Succeed:
3 – 5 years of experience in maintenance of high speed manufacturing machinery
Extensive knowledge of servo drives and PLCs
Mechanical experience with knowledge in electronics and electrical equipment
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Extensive proficiency and understanding of PC based programs and mainframe based information systems
Excellent leadership, management, problem solving and decision making objectives
Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal
Must wear safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection and other safety gear as required
Standing and walking – 70%
Overnight travel – occasional – 10%
Frequently required to work overtime, weekends, on-call 24 hours per day/seven days a week
12 hour shifts (36/48 hour week rotation; no rotating from days to nights)
