Summary:
Under the direction of the Patient Services Manager and/or Clinical Nutrition Manager, responsible for patient menu management, data collection, and diet office functions, as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Distributes and collects menus. Assists patients in completing menu selections in accordance with prescribed diet, as assigned by a dietitian. Offers menu alternatives as allowed by prescribed diet, considering allergies, sensitivities, and cultural or religious preferences when requested. Plans regular and modified menus based on the current diet manual. Prepares and distributes supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula accurately and timely. May be responsible for preparation, distribution, inventory and management of human/donor milk and/or infant formula. Adheres to confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies. Complies with regulatory standards (federal, state, and The Joint Commission). Completes required documentation, reports and logs. Follows facility and department infection-control policies and procedures. Participates in Performance Improvement programs and teams to improve processes and patient care. Performs other duties as assigned. Benefits
