Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for a

Wax Finishing Team Lead

in our Patterns Business Center at the Engines Products – Cleveland Operations Tempcraft facility located at 3960 S. Marginal Rd., Cleveland.

This position is responsible for ensuring the flow of work through a production area and making sure that quality parts are being produced in the quantities specified in the schedule. The Wax Finishing Team Lead works hand‑on on the manufacturing floor, trains operators on proper and safe procedures for using equipment, inspects parts, and ensures adherence to defined processes. The role also identifies and documents problems and resolves quick production issues to restore flow.

This is a 1st Shift position (Monday—Friday, 5:00 am – 2:00 pm).

Job Responsibilities

Oversee shift activities to ensure standard processes are followed and quality parts are produced on schedule.

Manage resources to achieve the schedule.

Maintain shop‑floor presence, providing in‑the‑moment training and feedback related to safety, quality, and productivity.

Be available for overtime and weekend support.

Serve as backup shift trainer.

Ensure efficient shift start‑up and shutdown.

Enforce safe work practices and compliance with all EHS policies and requirements.

Maintain thorough familiarity with department activity instructions.

Complete any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Basic Qualifications

Proficient in English.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and at least 5 years of inspection experience.

Ability to pass an annual eye exam per Jaeger.

Preferred Qualifications

Wax finishing experience.

Bi‑lingual (English and Spanish).

Previous experience as a trainer, lead person or supervisor.

Experience with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
