2/1/2026 Warehouse Operations Overview
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This includes receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery, ensuring efficient flow from vendors to customers. Responsibilities
Follow established SOPs to process orders, including accurately picking, quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building, and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment. Cross‑train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects as assigned. Receive large boxes at the dock, scan product with RF scanner, and enter information into the computer. Break down cases, operate heavy equipment to replenish the warehouse. Use voice‑to‑pick system to pick large case items with material‑handling equipment or small unit items onto cart. Palletize large items, skid, and wrap for shipment. Pack small items in boxes. Operate material‑handling equipment as required (order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, walkie rider). Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks, maintaining a clean work environment and complying with all Environmental Health and Safety requirements. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred. 1–2 years of related warehouse/distribution center experience preferred. Experience with automated or RF warehouse systems beneficial. Willingness to operate or learn material‑handling equipment (pallet jacks, cherry/order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts). Ability to stand for long periods with frequent stooping or bending. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Detail‑oriented, quality focused, and self‑motivated. Fluent in English (reading and writing preferred). Team collaboration to accomplish goals. Fast‑paced distribution environment performance. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Adherence to site safety regulations and wearing required PPE. What is Expected at This Level
Apply acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks. Learn and apply new information and methods in the assigned area. Maintain appropriate licenses, training, and certifications. Work on routine assignments requiring some problem resolution. Follow all quality guidelines. Work under moderate supervision. Review output by work lead or supervisor. Refer complex problems to supervisor. Follow attendance policies and guidelines.
