Administrator - LA Warehouse (Warehouse Operations) GLOVIS America, Inc. is a third‑party logistics provider headquartered in Irvine, CA. Since 2002, we deliver products via truck, rail, or ocean vessel throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, serving the automotive, freight forwarding, parts distribution, used car, and fuel industries.

Summary The Administrator – LA Warehouse (Air Logistics) position focuses on overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound activities, inventory accuracy, and regulatory compliance related to bonded cargo and controlled storage areas. This role ensures the warehouse functions efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and applicable customs and security regulations.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound cargo handling, inventory accuracy, secure storage, and distribution processes

Coordinate closely with international logistics team to align warehouse activities with transportation schedules, carrier cutoffs, and documentation requirements

Supervise trans‑loading, container de‑vanning, consolidation, and cargo staging processes to support timely and accurate cargo flow

Monitor warehouse productivity, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements to meet service‑level agreements and reduce costs with warehouse manager

Supervise warehouse staff to improve operations, train, and support warehouse staff on best practices and system usage

Prepare for and support audits and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance and readiness

Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely delivery of products

Coordinate warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees

Recruit, select, orient, and train employees with staffing agent

Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts and ensuring efficient space utilization

Implement operational policies and procedures

Implement and oversee security operations

Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment

Support the accounting team with AR/AP related to warehouse operations, including invoice reconciliation and payment follow‑up

Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances

Collaborate closely with accounting to ensure accurate financial documentation and timely processing variances

Support maintenance of warehouse documentation, including shipment records, inventory logs, and compliance filings

Collaborate with carriers, vendors, and 3PL providers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of international cargo

Participate in logistics planning and provide operational input for infrastructure development or new customer onboarding

Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements related to warehouse performance, compliance, and cost efficiency

Other duties as assigned

Compensation $68,000‑$74,000 annually (subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Skills

3+ years of experience in warehouse administration or logistics management (Required)

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills (Required)

Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (Required)

Strong analytical skills with a focus on data‑driven decision making (Required)

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities (Required)

Knowledge of bonded cargo management, customs regulations including C‑TPAT program, TSA security requirements, and relevant compliance standards specific to warehouse operations (Preferred)

Demonstrated leadership skills in a warehouse or distribution center environment (Preferred)

Proficient in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Preferred)

Familiarity with financial processes, especially AR/AP, related to warehouse or logistics operations (Preferred)

Education & Experience

H.S Diploma/G.E.D (Required)

Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

5 – 8 years of related experience in Warehouse, Trans‑loading, Logistics (Required)

6 – 9 years of related experience in Warehouse, Trans‑loading, Logistics (Preferred)

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods

Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing

Possibility of domestic travel – 20%
