Responsibilities
Provide medication administration and daily care, health needs, safety and comfort of residents.
Administer and document oral, eye, topical, suppository, ear drop and other medications as ordered by the physician.
Perform treatments on minor skin conditions per physician orders.
Maintain a locked medication cart and medication keys according to facility policy.
Check catheters frequently and provide catheter care as assigned by the nurse.
Document all medications and treatments in the medication record and nurses’ notes per policy.
Maintain confidentiality of all residents and their care to protect rights and privacy.
Perform other duties as assigned by staff nurse or designee.
Qualifications
Certified by the Indiana State Department of Health as a CNA in good standing.
Completed a state‑approved training program in medication administration and holds current QMA certification by the Indiana State Department of Health.
Thorough understanding of safe, effective nursing practices within Indiana.
High school diploma or GED.
Senior Level Entry level
