Immediate Opening: SOLO Floater Class A CDL Truck Driver – Ryder Waco, TX We are looking for a dedicated trucker to join our team of drivers. Immediate opening.

Pay and Schedule

$1,320 or more per week

Solo Miles Pay: $0.565 per mile with 2,000 miles per week

Solo Stops Pay: $19.00 per stop with 10–20 stops per week

Paid Training

Schedule: Sunday–Thursday or Monday–Friday

Working 5–6 days per week

Start time: Varies by route

Route and Equipment

Deliver TO: TX, LA, OK, AR, KS, CO, NM

Route: Regional

Tractor Type: Sleeper

Trailer Types: Dry Van (48′, 53′)

Equipment: Lift gate and pallet jacks (Ryder will train)

Freight: Touch – Hardware Equipment

Hazmat endorsement required – must obtain within 90 days of hire

Trucks: 36 months or newer; 24/7 roadside maintenance; fuel at over 800 national facilities

Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age

Pass Ryder drug test

Pass Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check (include last 3 years of employers)

Pass DOT physical

Pass Ryder road test

Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements (Class A)

Class A tractor‑trailer experience: 9 months in past 3 years OR 2 years in last 5 years OR 5 years in last 10 years

Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards

Maintain accurate records and logs

Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer

Perform other duties as assigned
